The Bishop of Rwenzori diocese Rt. Rev.Reuben Kisembo has demanded the non-committed government employees to resign for they are doing a disservice to the public.
He condemned the rampant corruption among the public officers in Uganda who want to acquire wealth quickly hence denying the public their entitlement to the social and economic services.
The angry man of God cited some incidences in the country where those holding offices torture the needy when they sell off jobs and don’t deliver due to persistence absenteeism.
This was contained in his sermon during the thanks giving service for Kabarole district Local government on Tuesday that was meant to thank God for completing the financial year 2018/2019 successfully.
Bishop Kisembo asked the employees to have dignity, respect their offices and serve the people heartedly, warning that those who want to acquire wealth swiftly, won’t last because God is not pleased.
Reading from Proverbs 22:1, Bishop Kisembo noted that wealth is acquired gradually adding that “A good name is more desirable than great riches; to be esteemed is better than silver or gold”.
He commended Kabarole district chairperson Mr.Rwabuhinga Richard for being exemplary leader to initiate such services to reflect and appreciate God for what they have accomplished throughout the year and what they plan to implement this year.
