NORTH ANKOLE DIOCESE CELEBRATES 19TH ANNIVERSARY.

North Ankole diocese yesterday commemorated its 19th anniversary at St.Emmanuel Cathedral in Rushere Town council, Kiruhura district.
Established in 2003,the diocese was carved out of the Ankole diocese, its first Bishop was Steven Namanya who has served up-to-date.
Bishop Steven Namanya presided over the celebration while the Commissioner General Uganda Revenue Authority,John Musinguzi Rujoki was the chief guest.
As part of the celebrations, a team from Uganda Baati led by its Chief Executive Officer George Arodi handed over a consignment of 700 iron sheets estimated at ugx.51 million to North Ankore mission hospital,
While touring the ugx.4.2 billion hospital project in company of Uganda Baati team, Bishop Steven Namanya noted that the fifty-bed capacity hospital will address a number of health challenges in the region such as the infant mortality rate.
He however appealed to Christians of good will to rally around this noble cause and make generous contributions towards the hospital project which now stands at 60% to completion and is expected to take two years. .
John Musinguzi Rujoki the commissioner General Uganda Revenue Authority challenged Christians to build institutions which will develop the next generation of leaders.
During the celebrations over ugx.37million was realized towards the hospital project.
