Hundreds of Christians yesterday filled St.Paul’s Cathedral in Northwest Ankole diocese to bid farewell to the outgoing archbishop Rt. Rev. Stanley Ntagali and his wife Ms. Beatrace Nalongo Ntagali.
At the same time, the Northwest Ankole Diocese was celebrating its second year anniversary since its birth on 1.10.2017.
Speaking to the congregation, Rt.Rev. Ntagali noted that the church of Uganda is celebrating a year of the youth and babies hence asked their parents to nurture them at an early age, so that they grow strong in faith and knowledge of God.
“Train a child in the way he/she should go and when he is old, he will not turn from it,” Ntagali said.
He added that it is the responsibility of parents and the church to shape the morals and spiritual beliefs of youth.
“Am retiring from active service but will continue serving in the church to fulfill my call on pastoral team whenever called upon by Christians. My cup I have been using to spread the word of God is still full with grace and will last forever.” Ntagali added.
The Christians gifted him with prizes including 13 cows, cash and food wishing him a happy and safe journey till he hands over the office next year.
