NRM HUMILIATES OTHER PARTIES IN IBANDA JANUARY ELECTIONS

In Ibanda—                                                        

NRM has dominated other parties in the recently concluded Presidential, parliamentary and mayoral elections in Ibanda.

NRM retained all the five seats in Ibanda South, Ibanda North, Ibanda woman MP seat, Ibanda Municipality, and LC 5 chairperson.

The FDC, DP, Independents and ANT candidates who contested lost and NRM won all parliamentary seats plus those of mayoral in Bufunda,Kagongo and Bisheeshe divisions in 115 polling stations.

Ms Jane Bainomugisha (NRM) won with 44,638 votes for Ibanda woman Member of Parliament, Tarsis Rwaburindoore (NRM) scored16, 038 votes as Member of Parliament for Ibanda municipality, Xavier Akampurira Kyoma (NRM) MP for Ibanda North, John Paul Ninkusiima (NRM) 21,837 votes Ibanda South and Hebert Mayanja (NRM) unopposed as LC 5 Chairman for Ibanda district.
