NTUNGAMO DOCTOR ARRESTED FOR KILLING A NURSE

Police in Ntungamo are holding a medical doctor operating several drug shops and clinics in western Uganda for allegedly killing her employee who was manning his clinic at Nyamukana trading centre in Itojo sub county Ntungamo district on Thursday.

The Ntungamo district police commander Baker Kawonawo says police arrested Dr. Yona Aine after finding the nurse Loscious Atuheire dead in the nurse’s room at Sheema clinic Ntungamo after the doctor and another man had entered the room in the night on Wednesday.

He says all leads into the murder connect to Dr. Aine who also operates sveen other clinics in different districts in south western Uganda including the one in Bwizibwera.

He says police is investigating circumstances of murder which he says the doctor and his accomplices wanted to disguise as suicide. A waist scuff belonging to the nurse was recovered from the scene of murder which was allegedly used in the strangling. The neck of the nurse was broken.
