NTUNGAMO: FORMER JOURNALIST KILLED BY BOYFRIEND

Police in Ntungamo are investigating circumstances under which a 28 year old former journalist was allegedly killed by her boyfriend at her workplace.
Christine Niwamanyas body was recovered inside the room of the canteen, where she worked near the gate of Ntungamo district headquarters.
The incident happened Monday evening and the body of Christine was recovered by a person who had gone to the canteen to buy airtime.
Police said that the suspected killer wanted to commit suicide after the incident but was rescued by co workers before the poison he had taken reacted.
Police said that Christine was strangled to death and they are working with the key suspects employers to have him apprehended and charged with murder.
The Ntungamo district police commander Damian Katwesiime confirmed the incident saying that, police is following clues to arrest the suspect.
