NTUNGAMO TEACHER TURNED HOMO TO FACE HOMOSEXUALITY, DEFILEMENT CHARGES

Police in Rwizi region has opened a general inquiry file into cases of homosexuality and aggravated defilement.
This follows after the arrest of a school Sheik for allegedly having been engaging a primary seven pupil into acts of homosexuality (anal sex).
Sheikh Igga Sudais the Islamic teacher at Maato Moslem primary school in Kyanju cell Ntungamo district is said to have been coercing the pupil identified as Katerega Usamu with baked cakes and spend a night together in the school staff quarter situated less than one hundred meters away from the office.
According to the pupil, Sheikh Sudais have been using him for almost two years and he had reached a point of feeling severe pain in his stomach besides developing skin rash around the private parts.
Rwizi region police spokesperson Samson Kasasira said that medical examination carried out on the victim indicate that the boy’s anus was indeed ruptured but tested negative for HIV.
His step mother Nimwesiga Mackline said she interrogated the boy during holidays after observing that he was having some difficulties in walking and that in the process the boy claimed that Sheikh Sudais Sodomises at school.
Nimwesiga further said that she reported the matter to police which later arrested him after subjecting the victim to a medical examination exercise.
She said at times, Sheikh would offer special care to the boy and would request her to allow the victim stay with him; she would always give a no objection not knowing that the man was a homo.
Turinawe Anna the acting deputy head teacher refuted claims that the accused Sheikh was a teacher in the school.
She said he was only posted Maato Muslim primary school to work as a school Imam but this account was also dismissed by the victim who insists that he was indeed a teacher, teaching social studies in primary six and Religious Education in primary seven as well.
Uganda Muslim Supreme Council secretary in Ntungamo district Lule Elias also said that as Muslim leaders in the area they condemn the act and prayed that the accused person be subjected to a serious punishment if found guilty by the court.
