NTUNGAMO WOMAN HELD FOR KIDNAPPING CO-WIFE’S CHILD IN KABALE

Police in Kabale are holding a 36 year woman over the kidnap of a one and half year old young boy Joshua Ahumuza.
Ahumuza went missing after he was picked from their home in Kikungiri on 30/01/2022 at around 12:00hrs in Kabale.
The suspect in connection to the kidnap of the child has been arrested.
Elly Maate the Kigezi Regional spokesperson identified the suspect as Sylvia Ahimbisibwe 36 years business woman resident of Kitwe central cell/ ward, Kitwe town council Ruhama East constituency Ntungamo district.
According to Maate, the suspect is a co wife to the mother of the victim.
She was arrested on 31/01/2022 at around 19:00hrs from her hideout in Kyamusoni village Ruborogota sub county Isingiro district after tracking by using phone co data.
She led the police where she had dumped the child only to discover that the owner of the plantation Rehema Kemirembe 46 years had picked him on 31/01/22 in the morning hours at around 10:00hrs shivering and moving alone in the plantation only dressed in T-shirt and a pair of trousers.
Maate said that Inquiries are going on to ascertain the motive since she has failed to reveal and after which will be charged with aggravated trafficking under the registration number (SD 33/30/01/2022) CRB 55/2022.
