NWSC BOSS ENG. MUGISHA ASKS YOUTH TO ENROLL FOR VOCATIONAL SKILLS TRAINING

The Managing Director National Water and Sewerage Cooperation, Prof. Eng. Silver Mugisha has called upon youth to enroll for vocational skills training for a good future.
Prof. Mugisha while speaking as a chief guest during the MJB skills development launch at Trust White Guest House in Tank hill Bushenyi, noted that for any to succeed in life, three concepts; knowledge, skills and attitude. He added that attitude constitutes a bigger percentage in every ones success.
He also revealed that he is soon starting a vocational institute in St. Kagwa in Bushenyi Ishaka Municipality.
Prof. Mugisha also revealed that every village in Uganda will have access to piped water by NWSC in collaboration with government. He added that 18 km will be supply with water in the next financial.
He contributed ug shs 3M cash and 10M pledge for the institution and promised to provide support at any time.
Arinda Gordon ‘Cow Boy’, the Bushenyi Ishaka municipality Member of Parliament, noted that having degrees and certificates isn’t enough to lead youth to success but skills can take them to higher levels. He also appealed to the youth to always be free to consult their leaders for any assistance.
Cow boy also revealed that government has promoted Uganda Technical College (UTC) Bushenyi to center of Excellency in the whole country noting that this will help to promote skills in Bushenyi district and the country at large.
He contributed ug shs 1M cash towards the development of the institution.
Jaffar Basajjabalaba the Bushenyi District Chairperson, expressed his concern on low enrollment of female gender in vocational institution but urged girls to also join.
He contributed ug shs 500,000 towards the development of institution.
The function was also attended by other Bushenyi leaders on different levels, the business fraternity in Bushenyi, different entertainers among others.
MJB skills development is an institute located in Bushenyi town which trains skills like computer, TV and phone repairing, dejeeying and playing other music instruments among others.
