OIL WILL SUSTAIN UGANDA FOR ALMOST 25YEARS- MINISTRY OF ENERGY AND MINERAL DEVELOPMENT

The ministry of energy and mineral developments has revealed that the already discovered oil will sustain Uganda for almost 25 years once the production begins.
James Baanabe Isingoma the acting director Energy resource development under the ministry of energy and mineral developments says that even the discovery is still going on to do further explorations to ensure that more productions are done.
Isingoma made this remark while leading the team from Mbarara regional referral hospital and that from the ministry during tour to king fisher oil plant one of the plant where oil, petrol and other products is going to be extracted in Kaisotonga sub-county kikube district on Albertan Graben Bunyoro region
He noted that by 2021-2022 they are expecting the production to begin as they are still engaging more investors.
Director went ahead and asked Ugandans who are being challenged to relay on the rumors that the production of oil began noting that what was extracted were for testing.
After the tour there was friendly match between Mbarara regional referral hospital and the ministry of energy and mineral developments at booma play ground in Hoima municipality both netball and football.
Team from the ministry of energy and mineral developments managed to win with 4-1 in football and in volley ball 28-27 over the weekend.
According to doctor Celestine Barigye the director Mbarara regional referral hospital captain for Mbarara says this friendly match was part of the exercise since they spend match of the time in office.
