ONE ARRESTED FOR KILLING BROTHER IN LAND SCUFFLE, 3 0THER SISTERS STILL ON RUN

Police in Rukiga district are investigating a case in which a 61 year old man was allegedly murdered by his four sisters.

The deceased is Ibrahim Mugwanya Kato a resident of Kanyeganyega village, Kashakye parish, Kamwezi Sub County in Rukiga district   murdered.

According to Elly Maate the Kigezi region police mouthpiece, the deceased found four of his biological sisters tilling his land that he inherited from his late father and when he stopped them they picked a quarrel.

Maate says the quarrel degenerated into a fight in which the deceased was hit by a hoe handle on the fore head and was taken to Nyakihanga Health Centre II for treatment where he died yesterday Morning.

Maate explains that a  team lead by D/ASP William Mbahimba the district CID officer Rukiga visited the scene, did a postmortem and one arrest was made while efforts are being made towards having the other three suspects still at large arrested.
