ONE DIES IN BULIISA ACCIDENT

Police in Buliisa district is investigating circumstances surrounding an accident that claimed the life of a 20 year old man
The deceased has been identified as Siraj Mugisa, mid 20’s, a resident of Wantebo Cell in Butiaba Town Council Buliisa district.
The regrettable incident happened on Thursday at around 07:30pm when the duo was traveling from Wantebo side to Piida cell to buy fuel.
An eyewitness who spoke to our reporter on condition of anonymity said that the deceased was riding the motorcycle with the colleague only identified as Simon.
‘’The duo was speeding, he failed to control the motorcycle thus knocking pedestrians who were in front of them,’’ he explained.
The eye witness further explained that Mugisa died on spot, while Simon got minor injuries and one pedestrian lost his leg as a result of an incident.
By press time the lifeless body of Siraj Mugisa was handed over to the relatives while the other three were admitted at Butiaba health centre III for treatment.
ASP Julius Allan Hakiza, Albertine region police spokesperson confirmed the accident and said they are investigating the incident.
