ONE FOUND DEAD IN KASESE

One person was on Saturday morning discovered dead in Kidodo cell, Railway ward of Kasese Municipality.
He was identified as Sipiri Kathungu, a resident of Kyambogho village, Kitabu sub-county in Kasese district.
According to the residents, the deceased was discovered along the road heading to the Kasese Municipality main bust pit at Citizen Education Center at around 7:00 am.
Jovia Kemigisha a VHT for Kidodo cell said that a group of people came running to her describing how an identified person had been found dead, which forced her to go to the scene and called the police from the Kidodo police post, which later informed the authorities at Kasese central police station thus picking the body and taking it to Kasese Municipal Health Center III for postmortem.
Moris Thembo who helped in the deification process narrated that the departed is his maternal uncle who has a family in the Kitabu sub-county.
Thembo adds that he was shocked to find his uncle died because he was not aware of his presence in Kasese town.
Peter Bwambale, the LCI vice-chairperson for the Kidodo cell urged the population to always inform the local council authorities about their friends and relatives who might visit them adding that it assists in the quick identification of such cases.
Martin Safari, the LCIII chairperson for the Central division in Kasese Municipality appealed to the residents to always move with any of their identification documents for their protection and to be easily recognized in case of any incident.
