The bishop of west Ankole diocese Rt. Rev. Johnson Twinomujuni has said that he will not sit with Emmanuel Karasi and other Christians for reconciliation but the God he serves will help him to win the case.
The bishop said this yesterday in an exclusive interview with www.mknewslink.com managing editor after synod meeting at Bweranyangi cathedral.
“The church is for God and the problems of Karasi will be solved by God,” Bishop Johnson noted.
On 19th May 2022 Karasi’s lawyers Tumwebaze, Atugonza and Kobusingye advocates from Kampala wrote an intention to sue on behalf of Karasi and Christians of west Ankole diocese in regard to the illegal synod that took place on 12th March 2022.
The Christians alleged that the two chapters of Mbarara and Kampala were not supposed to have representatives in the synod because it is against the canons of the church and the constitution of west Ankole.
Emmanuel Karasi petitioned the Archbishop after the formation of the 11th synod on grounds that they had included the two chapters, the chancellor had been nominated by one of the members instead of the bishop.
The petition also noted that some of the members were not supposed to vote including the Member of Parliament for Buhweju west Biraaro Ganshanga the Bishop’s nominee who has two wives.
