ONE PERSON KILLED IN BUSHENYI ACCIDENT

A motorcyclist was last night crashed to death by a speeding car at Kagarambi-Kitabi parish in Bushenyi district along Ishaka Kagamba road.
The deceased has been identified as Micheal Turyasingura aged 28; a teacher at Kitagata town school and a resident of Ibare
According to Greater Bushenyi Police spokesperson Sp Martial Tumusiime, Turyasingura who was riding motorcycle registration number UEC 833K Bajaj boxer heading to Kitagata collided with a speeding car Toyota Forester registration number UBD 808H that was coming from the opposite direction at around 8pm.
Turyasingura tried to avoid the collision but unfortunately failed to maneuver in time and was crushed to death.
After the accident, the driver of the car went to Ishaka police station and reported himself where he is currently detained.
Tumusiime said that the car and the motorcycle were towed to Ishaka police station while the body was taken to Kitagata hospital mortuary.
He attributed the accident to reckless driving and advised road users to be careful especially during this Christmas season when vehicles and people are going to be many.
