In Bushenyi
Reaching close to my aspects, I realized what my eyes were reading was indeed true. 10 Billion allocated to mps kurabarabamu under the guise of covid19 advocacy! This is madness.
Imagine an LC chairman giving out the little he has to facilitate Covid task forces, a local peasant donating a bunch of matooke to a health worker and a hungry police officer doing operations to prevent the spread of this deadly virus!
Imagine the president making a public call to the private sector to help the national task force move on and ordinary citizens rallying behind the presidential’s call to donate and support the national and district task forces!
Now here come our Mps, secretly sit, resolve to cut budget for ministry of health and allocate themselves 10bn kurabarabamu!! I imagine there is no sensible advocacy and sensitization they will make other than increasing the vulnerability levels and exposure of our people.
For Gods sake, some health workers are risking their lives with no protective gears to save lives, many women are giving birth alongside roads in the most indemnified manner, some children have missed immunization and we are yet to have a generation with problems but our Mps are really allocating themselves 20m each kurabarabamu!
In any serious country, such a parliament would be charged with attempted murder (as per the presidents directive).
When will our leaders ever have a sense of shame in that house called parliament? Why did we waste resources on patriotism presentations to them in Kyankwanzi? Is this what patriotism means among our Mps?
Now that you have taken your loot, kindly stay at home and enjoy it with your lucky families than coming around and cause uncalled gatherings for your show offs in trying to build your political capital which might expose us more to the disease.
Finally to my Mps
Here in BUSHENYI at least behave a little different, as a model district muzirete put it in the pool at the district and we effectively fight covid19 as well as help the most in need.
