OVER 180 TO GET MEDALS ON 26TH JAN AS NRM CELEBRATES LIBERATION DAY IN IBANDA

The celebrations will be held at St. George’s Primary Teachers core college play ground in Kagongo division, Ibanda Municipal council.
Residents have been advised to use the opportunity to generate more
income from different people who will be coming to attend the
celebrations by selling items like food and other commodities.

Several government officials and NRM supporters in Ibanda district are already at the site to make arrangements for the function.

The Resident District Commissioner ,Ibanda district Eliasto Akatuheebwa told the press that all government officials are busy making arrangements ahead of the historical liberation  day for the people of Uganda under the leadership of H.E. the president Yoweri Museveni.

Ibanda district and Uganda at large will recognise  the people for fighting the bush war which took five years  to liberate Uganda from the dictators and over throw the UPC governance led by Dr, Milton Obote.

Ibanda district is one of the districts in Uganda where many primary schools lost their property including chairs, desks and text books where by soldiers who attended the training used them to cook the food.

Some supporters of NRM especially the family of Mzee Edward Rutehenda ,his sons were killed during the bush war because they supported NRM and president Yoweri Museveni while he was in the bush.
