OVER 80M RAISED BY BWERANYANGI OGs FOR BURSARY FUND, FIRST LADY MRS MUSEVENI CONTRIBUTES 50M

Over 80 million was raised at the fundraising Dinner organized by Bweranyangi old girls association on Saturday Oct. 14 2023 at Hotel Africana Kampala.
According to the chief guest Lady justice Ketra Katunguka, the fundraising Dinner was aimed at launching a bursary fund for vulnerable girls at the school.
She hailed the all Bweranyangi old girls for the zeal to help vulnerable students at the school.
She also applauded the first lady and minister of education and sports who is also an OG of Bweranyangi for contributing 50million to the bursary fund.
Lady Justice Ketra Katunguka said she is what she is because of the firm foundation she got from Bweranyangi girls. A foundation of Christian values, discipline, self-respect and resilience.
Hon. Canon Mary Okurut also proposed to her fellow OGs to contribute monthly to the bursary fund rather than waiting for annual fundraising dinners. This proposal was applauded by all the OGs.
The board chairperson, Mr. Winstone Katushabe applauded the 0Gs for their commitment to the school. He urged them to keep up this zeal.
The Headmistress, Mrs Juliet Muzoora hailed the 0Gs of the school for all the assistance they have always given to the school. She further thanked them for their unity of purpose.
The Chairperson, Mrs Mary Mwesigwa together with the vice chair , Naome Mutegaya and the treasurer Mrs Mary Kwetegyeka, committed to mobilize all the old girls for this genuine cause.
The dinner was attended by many dignitaries like members of parliament, ministers, permanent secretaries without forgetting Hon. Miria Matembe also an OG.
