The Deputy Resident District Commissioner Mbarara Emmy Kateera Turyabagyenyi has called upon parents to desist from running to unlicensed money lenders for school fees.
Speaking to www.mknewslink.com , Kateera said that as reporting back of students for first term draws closer, parents have a tendency of running to these money lenders for school fees but they end up losing their expensive property to these lenders cheaply.
He encouraged parents to better sell their property on good price instead of staking them to lenders who finally take them at a low price.
Kateera cautioned the LC I who are engaging in endorsing agreements of these unlicensed lenders when people have not sold their property that they risk being acted on by the law.
He said that government is doing everything possible to crackdown all these illegal money lenders so that they can be brought to book.
