PATIENTS COMPLAIN OF SMELLY TOILETS, BUSHES AT MASINDI GENERAL HOSPITAL

Patients at Masindi district general hospital are complaining over poor delivery.

Speaking to our reporter yesterday morning, a number of patients disclosed that they are not getting services as expected.

According to a care taker who chose to speak on anonymity for security purpose, the toilets close to Serena Ward are smelly and the area is bushy which puts them at risk of contracting diseases including malaria

Another care taker also explained the hospital has no kitchen for patients adding that they are currently suffering with preparing food since it is a rainy season.

Jane Nyamigisa a care taker noted that her patient who was supposed to be operated was asked to bring her own mattress since the hospital bed were naked.

She asked leaders to intervene into the matter since it is affecting service delivery in the area.

When we approached Simon Baguma the Masindi Hospital Administrator, he admitted the above challenges, and said that they have low resources, but they are utilizing the little they have to serve the community.
