POLICE ARREST 18 YEAR WITH A STOLEN GUN

Police in Mbarara is holding an 18 year old in its custody for stealing a short gun.

The suspect was identified as Timothy Nuwabiine a resident of Nyakakoni cell, Kaberebere town council Isingiro district.

Rwizi regional police spokesperson Vincent Ssekate said Timothy allegedly stole a bag containing 3.5 M shillings, passport, driving permit, a star pistol with 13 rounds and its license from his boss in Munyonyo Kampala suburb where he worked as a shamba boy.

Mr. Ssekate said Timothy’s boss a director of Kandira job consultant limited reported the incident leading to investigations.

Timothy was arrested in Mbarara town while posing with the pistol in one of the bars in Kizungu.

Mr. Ssekatte said Timothy will be charged with stealing of a gun.
