POLICE ARREST CONMEN

Police in Ibanda has arrested two elderly conmen who have been allegedly extorting money from traders in Ibanda district.
Traders tipped Ibanda District Police Commander.Denis Ochama who arrested them yesterday pending investigations.
Mr. Denis identified the suspects as John Nshekanabo 76years, a resident of Kibingo village in Kyamuhunga sub-county Bushenyi district and Jaffar Ssekimpi 60, a resident of Kakoba Division in Mbarara Municipality.

They were after extorting 300,000 shillings from a charcoal retailer in Ibanda town promising to sell her some bags of charcoal as well as selling her gold they had mined in the forests of Kyamuhunga and Karinzu.

Mr. Denis promised to take them to court to answer charges of obtaining money in false pretence.
