POLICE CHASING VOTE BUYERS IN IGARA EAST BY-ELECTION

As voting nearly closes in Igara East by-election in Bushenyi district, there are reports of voter bribery in Kyeizooba sub-county, Bumbaire, Kyabugimbi and other sub-counties.

The regional traffic officer for greater Bushenyi ASP Betubiza who was deployed in Rwentuha town council chased the vote buyers but failed to arrest any.
Chairman Byabakama warned Igara East voters not engage in acts of bribery again because they are repeating this election because of bribery.
“Don’t bribe voters again because we are repeating this election due to bribery.
