The minister of defense in charge of veterans Col. Bright Rwamirama has revealed that the recent political parties meeting IPOD was a waste of time because political parties cant just sit and start discussing when President Museveni should leave power.
He noted that the constitution is very clear that every 5 years elections are held wondering why they cant wait for 2021 elections so that they can change the president.
On the issue of president having excess powers, he noted that it is everywhere in every country including France and England to enable him do his work.
He said this today 20th Jan.2019 afternoon at Rwenjeru primary school Bushenyi municipality while presiding over a fundraising function to raise money to rehabilitate the school.
Rwamirama was invited by area MP Gordon Arinda cowboy. He promised to turn around the municipality by providing piped water and electricity to every home in the municipality.
He noted that political parties are splitting into different groups because they cant unite due to struggle for power giving an example of FDC and Mugisha Muntu.
16 million was raised in cash and pledges .Rwamirama bought a cow at 3.5million and donated it to the school which it sold at 1.9 million
The political parties IPOD sat last month and president Museveni but FDC the largest opposition party never showed up.
