POLITICAL TENSIONS HIGH IN MWENGE NORTH AS SUPPORTERS OF MUHUMUZA, MP AKUGIZIBWE BURN SHOPS

Political tension arises in Mwenge North Constituency in Kyenjojo district after 5m business was burnt into ashes.
Police in Kyenjojo district are investigating circumstances under which unknown people burnt to ashes hardware business worth 5million shilling in Bufunjo sub-county.
According to sources the assailants set on fire the shop belonging to one identified as Omuhereza Moses Bigirwa resident of Kifuka trading centre in Bufunjo sub-county.
Martin Mbabazi the district police commander Kyenjojo told www.mknewslink.com reporter that the attack could be following political wrangles in the area.
The DPC noted that the victim whose business was burnt is a supporter of David Muhumuza who won the case against Laurence Akugizibwe who was declared Member of Parliament for Mwenge North constituency and his victory was later nullified by courts of law.
However the DPC Martin called for calm amongst residents since electoral commission is organizing fresh elections for their candidates.
