PRESSURE HEAPS ON MS. TUGUME TO CONTEST FOR PARLIAMENT

The retirement of the former senior bursar Ruyonza School and a renowned business woman in Bushenyi, Ms. Enid Tugume, has brought different reactions among Bushenyi residents.
Daglous Ramutojo the Kyeitembe youth representative and Faridah Mutambara, have asked Ms. Tugume to contest as a woman member of parliament for Bushenyi citing her competences and describing her as the right person for the post.
However, Tugume who retired on 1st April 2018, told www.mknewslink.com that she cannot under look the proposal of her comrades adding that she will definitely think about it.
Others who have shown their interest in the 2023 general elections include the incumbent Woman Member of Parliament Mary Karooro Okurut, the director Bamugisha community organization Annet Mugisha, former contestant and Managing Director BFM radio Mary Kabesiime, and former FDC flag bearer Federica Nshemereirwe among others.
