PRIEST FORGES BAPTISM CARD FOR DEFILEMENT SUSPECT IN KANUNGU

Police in Kanungu are investigating a case of forgery and uttering of false documents in a defilement case of a sixteen year old.
According police documents, a sixteen year old pupil at Kanyabizo primary school also resident of Buyundo Nyakashure in Nyamirama subcounty was defiled by 19 year old Ian Aharimpisa of Karooni, Kigarama village in Nyamirama subcounty.
The suspect was arrested while the victim is over six months pregnant currently.
However the suspect’s mother was conniving with a religious leader in Nyamirama to forge the suspect’s baptism card and subsequently reduce the age of the suspect, in a bid to kill the case.
Speaking to www.mknewslink.com the victim’s mother, Evas Ayebare rebuked all those who were working hard to kill her daughter’s case but called upon all leaders to help her and ensure justice is served.
She added that all she wants is the suspect to look after her daughter and afte rdelivery; she is taken back to school to continue with her education.
Pastor Bosco Kahigi NYAKA community outreach coordinator who followed up this matter on behalf of EDJA a local NGO that helps rape and defilement victims condemned the act of the religious leaders saying this is ungodly.
He promised to follow up this matter up-to court and ensure that the justice in this case is served condemning all leaders who have made it a habit to frustrate rape and defilement cases.
The forgery and uttering of false documents case has been registered on file reference number 41/24/06/2019 while the defilement case is registered on file ref number CRB 370/2019.
