PRIME MINISTER NABANJJA PLEDGES TO CONSTRUCT DISTRICT HOSPITAL IN RUKUNGIRI

The Prime minister of Uganda Rt. Hon. Robinah Nabbanja has hailed the Rukungiri community for voting the national resistance movement in the 2021 general election.
She assured the Rukungiri community that she will do what it takes to see the district hospital constructed as she cooperates with the area legislators and the president.
Nabanjja was on 23.10.2021 officiating at the Rukungiri chapter BAAF fundraising held at Immaculate Heart Girls’ SS Nyakibale.
She contributed 40 million cash from the office of prime minister and 10 million with which she bought president Museveni’s portrait totaling to 50 M.
Nabanjja said she was grateful that the Catholic Church is cooperating with the government to steer development explaining that commercial building will boost the development of trade and infrastructure in Rukungiri.
The money collected from this annual fundraising is intended to set up a project in every Denary across the districts under Kabale Diocese and this year’s fundraising is aimed at setting up a commercial building in Rukungiri on their Plot located along Republic Road.
Wenceslas Maanige, the BAAF Coordinator and organizing committee chairman Rukungiri district hailed the community for the great support they rendered to gather over 200 million both in cash, cheques and pledges.
Among other people attended the function was government chief whip Thomas Tayebwa , state minister of public service Grace Mary Akiiki Mugasha ,all members of Parliament from Rukungiri district, and Caroline Kamusiime the woman member of Parliament of Rukiga district.
