Prime Minister Ruhakana Rugunda has asked Ugandans not to entirely trust matters of security into the hands of security forces alone.
Speaking to Itendero Muslims in Sheema district Rugunda said security must be every body’s responsibility so as to completely secure the country.
He said laxity on security by the citizens has contributed to increased cases of insecurity in most in some parts of the country and challenged people to be vigilant and and report any suspicious groups of people trying to cause trouble for purposes of preventing it.
He said many countries have been admiring Uganda because of the good security the country has had before urging that Ugandans should not let such a pride be negatively tinted by wrong doers and in the end even scare away investors who have significantly contributed to job creation.
Prime Minister Rugunda was over the weekend in Rwabutura -Sheema district to attend a graduation party of Kabuye Jafari Matunga who attained a Masters of Science Degree in Aggro- ecology from Uganda Martyrs University.
