PROF. KARORO, A PIONEEER OF POST GRADUATE STUDIES IN WESTERN UGANDA

Professor Emmanuel Karoro a distinguish Professor with a huge back ground of literature in English and management skills told www.mknewslink.com that he has pioneered post graduate courses in over three universities in Ankole and Kigezi sub regions.
While at his home in Katungu Bushenyi town, prof. Karoro noted that he started post graduate courses at KIU western campus in 2004 and himself taught course unit of Research methods to even Doctors doing masters degrees in public health among others.
He added that still in 2013, Bishop Barham university college a branch of UCU Mukono headed then by prof. Muranga invited him to assist Dr.Katungwesi and start post graduate courses. He said that they ably did it.
Prof. Karoro went ahead to say that Mbarara university of science and technology also kept engaging him to supervise PhD and masters students. This kept with experience handle post graduate studies.
NOW VALLEY UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY
He emphasized that Dr. Rwanshema the vice chancellor of Valley university [VUST] recently invited him to head post graduate studies.
In last month’s graduation, graduated pioneer students of post graduated diploma in management science.
The over 65 year old professor told www.mknewslink.com that valley university has already applied to national council for higher education[NCHE] two masters degrees of Public administration and management and Masters in Business administration. They are still waiting for reply from national council.
Other post graduate diplomas approved are; post graduate diploma in public administration and post graduate diploma in Business administration.
