The property of the NRM secretary for finance Christopher Mulenga, popularly known Mutware has been confiscated by Stanbic bank after he failed to pay more than ugx 4.1billion since august 2014.
Stanbic bank through their lawyer Mugaya Eriya of Armstrong limited auctioneers claims that Mulenga received funds from the bank by the names of Mulenga and company in 2000’s and his loan limits ended 2013 August.
In 2014 Mulenga through his lawyers filed an appeal to Kabale high court to challenge the award saying the trial judge erred before it established the authenticity of the letter of offer and its execution but was finally ordered either pay money or to be evicted.
Mugaya noted that Armstrong auctioneers had already advertised property including little Liz bar and restaurant, Depoe of Pepsi alias as Mulenga house, Nyerere Avenue in Kabale municipality and a farm located in Karukara Hamurwa Sub county Rubanda district for sale.
Yesterday morning, Armstrong auctioneers escorted by Kabale district security team led by Brian Ampeire the District Police Commander seized properties including little Liz, Depoe of Pepsi leaving many tenants stranded in roads and corridors in Kabale municipality.
Ampeire told media that he was called by Armstrong auctioneers to provide security and witness the eviction of properties but was not involved in the matter.
According to the letters which were seen by our reporter signed by Ronald Magezi the regional police human rights and legal officer for Kigezi court ordered for  the eviction of Christopher Mulenga and company for failing to pay his loan from Stanbic bank since 2013.
www.mknewslink.com couldnot get a comment from any family member since Doreen Mulenga who witnessed the eviction was crying and  could not afford to talk.
Mulenga Christopher has been working for NRM from 1994 up to date.
