PUPILS STRANDED AT RWAMPARA’S NYAKABARE PRIMARY SCHOOL AS RAIN WRECKS CLASSROOMS

Pupils,Parents and teachers at Nyakabaare primary school in Rugando Sub County , Rwampara District were on Tuesday left in a shock after one of the class room block at the school was washed away by heavy rains.
Located in Rugando Sub county , Nyakabaare primary school is among the schools that were started by church in 1939.
Teachers and Parents who intimated to this online publication indicate that they are now stranded with 100 Pupils who were studying in the block that was washed away by heavy rains. They however say government has not rendered any aid at the school.
According to Asaph Ndyomugyenyi the Headteacher Nyakabaare primary school the block was constructed 40 years back and part of the building which was washed away by heavy rains housed Administration offices.
“As of now we are stranded with 100 pupils who were studying in the block that was washed away by rains and they can’t risk studying under the trees as it will be raining on them”Ndyomugyenyi explained.
Ndyomugyenyi is now appealing to Government to allocate funds to the school to accomplish a four class room block built by parents five years back in order to accommodate the affected Learners.
With an enrollment of 450 pupils , Nyakabaare primary school is a parent centred with only four class room blocks and government has only built two blocks and the rest were built by parents are school.
