RAY OF HOPE: MP NIMUSIIMA PLEDGES TO PAY SCHOOL FEES FOR IBANDA GIRL WHO GAVE BIRTH AMIDST PLE

A former pupil at Sigirira Primary School in Ibanda district who gave birth during Primary leaving Examinations Catherine Ninsiima is now smiling after getting a sponsor to assist in paying her school dues for four years.

Earlier on Catherine had told www.mknewslink.com that her wish is to become an accountant in future and work in banking institutions or as school Bursar but her problem was that she had no school fees since she is an orphan.

“I am a total orphan without a father and mother while the man who impregnated me has kept away from me since then,” Ninsiima narrated almost into tears.

Having got the information from press, the Member of Parliament for Ibanda South, Dr. John Paul Nimusiima has committed himself to paying her school dues up to senior four when the schools open after covid-19.

The MP advised Ninsiima to get admission from St. Annes Girls Senior Secondary School in Ibanda district which is nearer to her birth place.

The boy who allegedly impregnated her after getting the news that her girlfriend had delivered a baby, locked his house and went into hiding.

When Ninsiima returned from the Health center with a baby and checked on her boyfriend’s house, she found the door  closed  with a  new padlock.
