RELIEF AS MBARARA REFERRAL HOSPITAL OPENS COVID 19 ISOLATION UNIT FOR PREGNANT MOTHERS

Mbarara regional referral hospital has gazetted a COVID 19 isolation unit for pregnant mothers and children below 12 years.

Dr. Celestine Barigye the hospital director told www.mknewslink.com in an exclusive interview today morning that they reached this decision after receiving many expectant mothers with COVID 19 in the second wave.

“Our hospital has so far been receiving expectant mothers diagnosed with COVID 19 therefore as health experts we have decided to open for them a separate treatment Centre,” Barigye explained.

Barigye says that the number of COVID 19 patients admitted at the hospital has decreased 26 patients, while 05 were discharged as of yesterday and 02 COVID deaths.
