REPATRIATED M23 REBELS RECEIVE WARM WELCOME TO DRC

Former M23 rebels repatriated by the Government of Uganda have been
warmly welcomed by DRC citizens at Bunagana border post.
The ten who have been part of hundreds of M23 rebels under the UPDF
protection were led by Lieutenant colonel Alphonse Mashango Ngabo
In a brief interview with www.mknewslink.com , Ngabo said that they so happy to back home peacefully though they fought DRC government for last five years. He also thanked Ugandan government for having taken care of them since right from the time they escaped from battle field.
www.mknewslink.com has learnt that they the M23 rebels have since been staying at Bihanga military training school in Ibanda district.
Early this week Ambassador Jean Pierre Massala the head of mission in
DRC while receiving them at UPDF Second division headquarters Mbarara likened them as prodigal sons and promised that they would be received into their country with dignity.
