Police in Kikuube have instituted investigation into the murder of Paul Karamagi a resident of Retayi village in Iganjura parish, Kabwoya Sub County in Kikuube district.
Julius Allan Hakiza the Albertine region police spokesperson exposed that the matter was reported at Kabwoya police station yesterday at around 7:40hours by Blasio Byekwaso the chairman local council one Rwetayi village.
Hakiza revealed that it’s alleged that on 11th of this month at about 20:40hours, the deceased was picked from his home by four members of the same community on allegations that he had stolen cassava belonging to one Regina.
He said in the event Karamagi was beaten severally and was pronounced dead as he was being rushed to the hospital.
Hakiza said relevant witnesses have recorded their statements and efforts to have the suspects apprehended.
He asked the general public to provide the necessary information regarding the where about of the suspects to the nearest police.
