RESIDENTS DECRY INCREASED THEFTY IN FORTPORTAL

Residents of Bulyanyenje zone West division Fort Portal municipality have expressed concern over escalated theft in their area.

The disgruntled residents who spoke to our reporter said that thieves have terrorized their place by stealing them.

The residents have disclosed that thieves have continued to steal their house properties, animals, domestic birds day and night.

They said that thieves have reached to an extent of stealing animals during day time while they have taken them to graze in the bush.

On Saturday night, unknown people came and stole seven hens from one of the residents by making holes on the kitchen.

They however urge the responsible authorities to intervene into the matter before it worsens.

Our reporter tried to get a comment from the GISO who doubles as the chairperson LC3 for west division Richard Muhumuza for a comment but his known phone numbers were off.
