RESIDENTS IN BUSHENYI COMPLAIN OF NEGLECT BY ELECTED LEADERS

Residents of Ryansana 2- Nyakasambu in Kashenyi ward, Ishaka division, Bushenyi Ishaka Municipality are complaining about their leaders who neglect them after winning the elections.
The residents were on Friday 3rd 2020 meeting Gordon Arinda Cowboy, the Bushenyi Ishaka Municipality Member of Parliament.
They were led by the chairperson LCI Asafu Asiimwe and LCII Matia Katanako.
One of the residents, Asaph Tumwiine said leaders should not always forget their voters since they are the ones who send them to power but in end fail to deliver to them.
Tumwiine also noted that Local Council chairpersons should also be remembered and rendered allowances plus other necessities as other top government leaders, arguing that they do a lot of work compared to other leaders.
However, responding to various questions by residents about service delivery, Arinda Gordon Cowboy assured residents that services especially water, electricity, health and good roads are soon reaching the area.
Arinda Gordon Cowboy who had travelled with the district road engineer assured residents, that their road will be done in the first quarter of the next financial year (July to December).
He also revealed the government plans of starting up a Health Insurance Programme which he said will help Ugandans to get medical services without the need of paying cash.
