RESIDENTS IN BUSHENYI TOWN RECEIVE FREE HIV TESTING SERVICES

Residents of Bushenyi town have received free medical services courtesy of Bushenyi Parental care primary school in cooperation with Reproductive Health Uganda.
Bushenyi parental care primary school under SWAS club in collaboration with Reproductive health Uganda Bushenyi branch organized a health camp in Bushenyi town in which free medical services such as HIV testing and counseling, were extended.
According to Bangi David, who represented the health inspector for Bushenyi Ishaka municipality, the camp was the first of its kind in central division and to be organized by a primary school.
Mr. Bangi noted that people’s turn up in big numbers for HIV testing is not an indication of increased immorality but rather high level of responsibility about their lives.
He also expressed his appreciation on the cleaning campaign also organized by Bushenyi parental care in which they cleaned Bushenyi health centreIV, Bushenyi police station, and Bushenyi town thus urging other institutions to follow the same example.
Loyce Tusiime, assistant in charge of Reproductive Health Uganda, told mknewslink.com that the turn up was good and appealed to the public to always embrace such programmes.
Perez Basiime, the head teacher Bushenyi parental school also the patron SWAS club, thanked Bushenyi people for embracing their programmes and promised to continue serving.
Today, SWAS club will end their campaign with a marathon and health camp in which more services such Cancer screening, family planning will be extended at Bushenyi Parental Care primary school premises.
