RETIRING ARCHBISHOP NTAGALI RECEIVED IN WEST ANKOLE IN HERO’S WELCOME

The retiring Arch Bishop of the church of Uganda Stanly Ntagali was yesterday received with a hero’s welcome in a biggest convoy ever as Ntagali described it while in speaking in the Cathedral at Bweranyangi.
The convoy was spearheaded by Igara East MP Micheal Mawanda maranga. He provided his cars, boda bodas and other vehicles for the convoy to appear the biggest ever to welcome the Arch Bishop in any diocease of Uganda.
The vehicles, boda bodas and the people led by the Bishop of West Ankole diocese Right Rev.Johnson Twinomujuni recieved the retiring man of God at Kooga and drove through kabwoohe town in Sheema, continued and drove through Bushenyi Town drove until they reached the West Ankole Diocese head quarters in Bweranyangi.
While speaking, the Archbishop said this is a new Diocese, very peaceful unlike what used to happen in the past.
The Arch Bishop was taken to court by some canons trying to stop him from taking the diocese after katoonene retired without a successor.
The cannons were defeated in high court before justice Lydia Mugambe and then cannons accepted the Arch Bishop to take over the Diocese as it is stipulated in the constitution of the church of Uganda.
The cannons were led by cannon Yolokam Bashasha who was the adviser of retired Bishop Katoonene.
Later Bishop Johnson Twinomujuni was elected and accepted by all the Christians of West Ankole and conflicts ended there .
The few guests that had been invited last evening were hosted for a dinner.
