The Chancellor of Kabale Diocese Rev Fr Luciano Twinamatsiko has expressed concern over how some youth despise jobs which has increased poverty in the Country.
Preaching yesterday during the mass at the closure of a four day Christ the King youth conference which started on Thursday, in Kabale Municipal Stadium, Fr Twinamatsiko said that the majority of the youth especially those who have completed their studies despise jobs due to their high academic qualifications forgetting that they can get a good job from there.
He therefore advised the youth to persist on any small jobs they may get with good Ethical conditions. He also asked parents to desist from consumption of alcohol saying that it is one of causes of the domestic violence.
The Christ the King Kabale youth Chaplain Rev Fr Prosper Turyahabwe, said that he hopes that the participants shall return back home with positive behavior change after the conference which has been under the theme you are the light and salt of the world.
The conference later in the evening ended with the inter Hiikas final football match for boys from Christ the king church, where Kijuguta Hiika was crowned the champion after defeating Mukashekye Hiika by one goal to nil. In the female final football match, Kagoyi Hiika defeated Kijuguta Hiika by also one goal to nil.
Officiating at the same function the football events, the Kabale District Woman Member of Parliament Hon Catherine Atwakire Ndamira advised soccer players to always show discipline during the game, if their talents are to be improved, that can in future improve on their economic welfare.
