It was all typical drama yesterday march 14 at Kyamuhunga catholic parish in Igara west Bushenyi district during the burial of the Italian REV.FR. Tomaino when the area MP Embwa Tekamwa grabbed the microphone from the minister of local government who is also resident of the area.
It was huge shame for the area Mp Mbwa Tekamwa to grab a microphone from the minister Magyezi such that Dr.Chris Baryamunsi of ICT and National guidance doesn’t speak.
The archbishop of Mbarara archdiocese His grace Labert Bainemigisha revealed that the burial was not political in nature but rather religious therefore there was no need for Hon Embwa Tekamwa to grab a microphone to speak forcefully at the burial of Rev. Fr.
Mp Embwa Tekamwa was bitter at the burial conducted in his constituency and be was denied a chance to speak and welcome dignitaries in his home constituency.
Mp Embwa Tekamwa according to sources looked at the incident as the political one since minister Magyezi wants to contest against him.
Mp Embwa Tekamwa is accused by igara west voters of abdoning them since the time they voted him has appeared in their constituency on rare occasions.
After Mp Embwa Tekamwa realized that there was no hope for him to speak where the chief mourner president Museveni was represented by Rt. Hon. Deputy speaker of parliament Thomas Tayebwa, he decided to grab the microphone but he was arrested and humiliated by the security of deputy speaker and minister Magyezi.
When the representative of the president stood up to speak, he consulted the archbishop pleading to allow Mp Embwa Tekamwa to say a word, but the archbishop insisted that the function was for church not for politics.
