ROTARY CLUB DONATES 70 BUNCHES OF MATOOKE TO KIU INTERNATIONAL STRANDED STUDENTS

The Rotary Club of Bushenyi led by its president Fr Karenzi yesterday donated 70 bunches of Matooke to KIU international students who are stranded in their hostels in Ishaka after theyupkeep got finished.
While handing over the matooke to the Covid 19 taskforce for Bushenyi district, Fr.Karenzi noted that they had donated the matooke to students who are stranded without food.
He added that as their motto says’Service above self ‘they decided to remember these students who are indeed in need.
The RDC Bushenyi who is the chairman of the taskforce Jolly Tibemanya promised to hand over the Matooke to students so that their life comes back to normal.
Jaffari Bassajabalaba the district chairman hailed the Rotary club for rmembering KIU stranded Students who are struggling to get what to eat.
Relatedly ,Keihura Nkuba aka Dr.Nkamuhayo Rwacumuta donated 65000 kgs of maize flour to the Bushenyi Covid 19 taskforce.
