RPC ON 500,000= BRIBE BY POLICE DETECTIVES FROM LATE RWAMUTWE’S WIFE: I HAVE OPENED GENERAL INQUIRY FILE OVER CASE

The greater Bushenyi regional police commander Mr. Eddie Sserunjoji has today May 10, 2017 revealed that he yesterday opened a general inquiry file to investigate detectives who solicited 500,000= from late Rwamutwe’s wife on Wednesday last week to track the kidnappers of her late husband.

In a meeting he held this morning with this editor to get more details about the story that was published yesterday by www.mknewslink.com yesterday, Mr. Sserunjoji noted that he will not leave any stone unturned to be able to arrest the corrupt detectives who took money from a crying widow.

“Mr. Muhwezi, I have opened a general inquiry file [GIF]after getting information from you and am sure I will get those people in case they did it” RPC said.

On the other hand the police public relations officer for greater Bushenyi Mr. Martial Tumusiime summoned this reporter to his office that he[martial] was under investigations by police headquarters already over the same case because his photo appeared on top of the story.

“I want to assure everyone that it’s not me who solicited the bribe from late Rwamutwe’s wife but only my photo was used on top of www.mknewslink.com website story because am the spokesperson of the region where the incident took place. Whoever sees the story should also read it first and get facts rather than concluding that am the thief”

Rwamutwe was kidnapped and murdered on Wednesday last week and dumped his body in Ibanda municipality in ibanda district. Other two people were kidnapped on Friday last week but were beaten severely and abandoned. They have already been discharged from hospitals.
