RUBANDA COUPLE CROSSES TO ANGLICAN CHURCH AFTER REV. FR. REFUSES TO BAPTISE THEIR CHILD OVER POLITICS

A couple from Rubanda whose child was denied baptism by Reverend Father over political differences has crossed to Anglican Church.
Didas Byaruhanga and his wife Rachel Ninsima, who are residents of Kiyora Bubare sub county Rubanda district were yesterday officially welcomed to St Andrews church of Uganda Nyabikoni Kabale municipality.
On 24/12/2020, the parish priest of Kakore parish in Kabale diocese Rv. Fr. Herbert Agaba, refused to baptise couple’s daughter accusing them of supporting an Anglican candidate, Jogo Kenneth Biryabarema in the in the NRM primary elections.
Racheal Ninsima, a resident of Kiyora Rubanda district who has been praying from Rutoma alleged that Innocent Namanya a Rutoma catechist refused to give her a Baptism form and was chased from the Rutoma church.
Rev. Edward Mwesigwa, a parish priest of St. Andrews church of Uganda Nyabikoni confirmed that they have wedded and baptized Byaruhanga Didas and Ninsima Reachel because Anglican church welcomes every one without discrimination .
