In Rubanda—
Police in Rubanda district intervened in the disagreements between two parties over the ownership of the land in Mumwiga cell, Kashenyi parish of Bubaare Sub County Rubanda district.
The battle for the eligible ownership of the 2 Acre land is between family members Matia Mpamizo and Vastine Tumwesigye who are against Christine Kobusingye all residents of Chahi village in Bubaare Sub county.
The battle started last week when Mpamizo and Tumwesigye uprooted the bean garden of Kobusingye with the help of Inmates at Ndorwa prison, and planted in potato, which was also uprooted by Kobusingye with the help of locals and replaced with beans, saying that the land in court is different.
According to Kobusingye, she was given all the agreements by her grandfather the late Andrew Makara indicating that the land was bought by her father the late Joseph Tibamurura and she has been using the land since the death of the two.
However, Mpamizo and Tumwesigye claim that the land belongs to the family members not for Kobusingye.
This forced police led by the officer in charge of Bubaare police post Joseph Karwani to stop the two parties and told them to meet the Rubanda District Officer In charge of Criminal Investigative Department for a way forward.
