RUBANDA MAN MURDERS WIFE, DUMPS BODY IN BUSH

Police in Rubanda are hunting for a suspect who allegedly murdered his 26 year old wife.
The Kigezi regional police spokesperson Elly Maate identified the suspect as Abel Musinguzi a resident of Bwegerere village, Nyaruhanga Ward Rubanda Town council Rubanda district.
It is alleged that Musinguzi murdered his wife Florence Atuheire as a result of domestic violence.
Sources told police that on 04/04/2022 the deceased ran away from her husband due to domestic violence and she together with her one month old child went to her mother in Bwegyerere leaving her husband in Ntungamo cell, Ruhija Sub County where he was working doing lumbering work.
Maate told www.mknewslink.com that on 06th April,2022 at around 1600hrs, the suspect followed her to her mother’s home one Edvinah Musinguzi on claims that he wanted them to reconcile so that she goes back home with him.
The mother said that she went out to talk with him and together they walked away from the home conversing normally.
Unfortunately, she never returned home until on the 07/04/2022, when the mother discovered her body in the bush near where she fetches water from.
She reported to the chairperson on the 08/04/2022 who later went and made a report at Rubanda Cps.
Scene was visited by D/Asp Aine Bernice the DCIDO and team, Statements recorded, photos taken and sketch map drawn.
Body was taken to Muko HCIV for postmortem, suspect is on the run, and efforts to trace him are under way.
The case of suspected murder was registered at Rubanda Central Police station under reference number CRB: 108/22.
