RUBIRIZI ARRESTED UPDF SOLDIER PLEADS GUILTY TO ONE MURDER CASE, DENIES OTHER 8 CHARGES

A UPDF soldier of 27^th Battalion has today pleaded guilty to the murder of a woman in Nkondo B cell Ryeru subcounty Rubirizi district.

However, Private Bobson Amutuhaire UPDF no.AX 017942 pleaded not guilty to other 8 charges that were slapped against him.

Court martial sitting at Mubanda Primary school in Ryeru subcounty heard that Private Bobson Amutuhaire while in Rubirizi shot 6 people killing three on spot.

Same court led by Lt. Col. Emmanuel Mwesigwa also heard that he tried to shoot his boss 2^nd Lt. Clerkson Okolo the center commander.

On 28^th Dec.2020 at around 1:00am, Private Bobson Amutuhaire allegedly attacked three villages in Ryeru subcounty Rubirizi district and shot three women who included; Scovia Timbakizire 42 years, Muwanda B cell Ryeru s/c, Man Conrad 22 years from Nkondo B cell Ryeru S/c Olivia Ninsiima sister of the late Conrad ,dead.

The four others who sustained injuries were admitted at Kampala teaching hospital in critical conditions.

Bobson Amutuhaire was later arrested on 29^th Dec.2020 according to greater Bushenyi police spokesperson SP Martial Tumusiime.

Martial added that the suspect would be tried in court martial to answer to charges of murdering innocent Rubirizi residents.
