A section of men in Rubirizi district have raised an alarm to authorities to come to their rescue following continuous beatings from their wives.
Vincent Byemire a resident of Kichwamba sub county Bunyaruguru Rubririzi district early this week ran to authorities accusing his wife of beating and harassing him.
However, Denis Mwebesa a resident of the same area told www.mknewslink.com that women beating their husbands is not new.
He said that such cases are common but the police have been taking it lightly siding with women on grounds that men are the ones that misbehave.
Mwebesa added that over 24 families in Kichwamba, Bisonga and Nyabubare sub counties have got this problem.
Sylvester Agubashongorera the Rubirizi district chairperson told www.mknewslink.com in an interview that they are in touch with police to investigate all these matters and look for a solution.
Cases of Women beating their husbands have become rampant in the southwestern sub region of Uganda.
Men from Sheema district in Southwestern Uganda last year broke the silence over continued physical abuse, emotional and verbal tortures by their wives.
The men disclosed their grievances during a one day workshop on domestic violence organized by the Forum for Women in Democracy (FOWODE) at Senevin Gardens Kabwohe Sheema.
