RUGIRWA KATATUMBA REMANDED TO KITALYA PRISON FOR OBTAINING CREDIT BY FALSE PRETENCE

Chief magistrate’s court on Buganda road has today charged and remanded Rugirwa Katatumba for obtaining credit by false pretence.

Rugirwa has been remanded to Kitalya prison until 29^th Jan.2021.

Rugirwa Katatumba is a son to former Pakistan Consulate to Uganda and business proprietor, Bonny Katatumba 

The warrant of commitment on remand seen by www.mknewslink.com commanded and authorized the superintendent of prison at Kitalya to keep Rugirwa into their custody and produce him before same court at 9:00am on 29^th Jan.2021.

In 2019, Rugirwa appeared before Grade One Magistrate Stella Maris Amabilis as a state witness in the case Mukesh was facing 13 charges of forgery, uttering a false document and conspiracy to commit a felony.

Prosecution alleged that Mukesh and others still at large forged documents for the official handover of Hotel Diplomat.

Rugirwa Katatumba told court that he had never appended his signature on the documents authorizing Mukesh to take over Hotel Diplomat.
